Pay By Mail
Equipment on the expressway will take a picture of your license plate and that information will then be used to identify the registered owner of the vehicle. A bill for the tolls will then be sent to the registered owner’s address. If you plan to use the Pay By Mail program make sure your vehicle registration and title information is up to date to avoid the possibility of not receiving your bill. Failure to pay a Toll Bill can result in additional fees and court fines. If you lease or loan your car out, be aware that under Texas law you are responsible for any tolls incurred by the driver. Toll rates for people who Pay By Mail are higher than for drivers with a TxTag to offset the cost of processing license plate information and mailing the Toll Bill. In addition, each Toll Bill comes with a $1.00 processing charge. Depending on which toll roads you use, you may be issued separate Toll Bills. Every Mobility Authority customer is important to us. Our goal is provide the best driving experience possible while ensuring every customer is treated fairly and pays the appropriate toll. Pay By Mail customers are given 30 days to pay their bill. In some situations honest customers may accidentally fail to pay their bill for a variety of reasons. In other cases, individuals intent on breaking the law may intentionally not pay their fair share. Here are the steps a Pay By Mail customer can expect if they fail to pay their bill:
Click here to pay your toll violation online Pay By Mail customers have 30 days to pay their bill either in person, via check, online or over the phone. Online Toll Bills or Toll Violations can be paid online using your Visa or MasterCard credit or debit card. You may also pay by using your Checking, Savings, or Money Market account. To make payments you will need the 6 character reference number and your license plate number found on your notice. You must be a valid account holder or authorized user of the credit or debit card you wish to use. Payments made to Municipal Services Bureau take 1 to 2 business days to post to your account. By Mail Payments may be mailed to the Municipal Services Bureau. The notice you receive provides you with a remittance voucher and return envelope for your convenience. If you do not have the voucher you may still remit your payments by 1st class postage to: Municipal Services Bureau Municipal Services Bureau accepts payments by mail in the form of personal or business check, money order and cashier's check. Do not send cash by mail. Be sure to write your full name, 6 character reference number and your license plate number on your payment. In most instances, mailing your payment 10 days prior to the due date should be sufficient time to ensure proper posting. Walk-In Payments Payments may be made in person at this address only: Municipal Services Bureau The lobby is open for walk in payments Monday – Friday from 7:30am – 7:00pm. Municipal Services Bureau accepts personal checks, money orders, cashier's checks & cash for the exact amount for the payment only. Change is not provided. The payment lobby is located next to Highland Mall. There is no night drop box, so all payments must be made during regular business hours. |
